Robert MacAskill is an internationally acclaimed director, writer and producer: recipient of several and international awards for outstanding television and film productions.

In addition to projects for Canadian broadcasters such as CBC, CTV, Discovery, TSN and Rogers Sportsnet, Robert’s programs have also been broadcast on NBC, CBS, Chinese Central Television and Sky network in Europe (among others).

Although programming content has been diverse, a common theme exists in all stories produced – prevailing in the human journey to overcome challenges. Intimate cinematography, insightful interviews, and thoughtful production values all combine in a unique approach for poignant storytelling.

In non-profit sectors, Robert created a series for the Rick Hansen Foundation and CTV, featuring 25 outstanding Canadians and why they are regarded as Difference Makers in their communities. He also developed programming for the Bell Let’s Talk campaign.

Robert also serves as a director on the board of Rebounders Canada, assisting adult survivors of childhood cancer and resides in Toronto with his wife Carol and two sons.
